2013 Fall Harvest Fest

pumpkin thanks

Harvest Fest was a great success and we can all thank Stacey Zuazo for leading the planning and execution of the day.

Our kids had a head start with the fun…the PTA sponsored a pumpkin decorating contest. All classes received a pumpkin and they had to work together, as a class to choose a theme and decorate their pumpkin.

Our panel of judges had the hard task of determining the winner among 19 pumpkins entered in the contest. The judges included Ms. Bolado, Ms. Diaz, Jordan Levin, Frances Trombly and Reed our friendly security guard. Competition was tough and the lucky winners were buzzing with joy, Ms. Jones’ 2nd grade class and their beautiful bumble bee were the lucky winners. They will be enjoying some sweet treats from Baskin Robbins.

Though the sun was scarce, joy and laughter were plentiful. After school our kids gathered in the basketball court area and had fun picking their pumpkins. Over 145 pumpkins were sold!

There were plenty of goodies and games for the kids to enjoy including a fast and furious relay race and mighty tug-of-war thanks to our P.E. coach, Mr. Garcia.

All in all another great day at PLC.

We want to give special thanks to Stacey Zuazo and all the other parents who volunteered to make this a memorable day for our school community.

Thank you!
